| Role Summary/Purpose: | The FDL BI Architect is responsible for architecting reporting & analytic platform solutions for GE’s Finance Data Lake. The candidate should have related expertise with report architecture, design, report tuning and performance optimization, data analysis, and data manipulation as well as a fundamental understanding of end-to-end business processes and BI systems. |
| Essential Responsibilities: | - Partners with corporate and business Finance & IT leads to drive the delivery of reporting and analytic solutions based on the data assets within the Finance Data Lake - Develops and implements data and BI architectures supporting structured dashboarding, reporting and ad-hoc querying capabilities - Provides expertise and leadership in enterprise reporting technologies like Business Objects, Tableau, Oracle Business Intelligence and Spotfire - Ability to query data both in relational database and big data platforms, can troubleshoot data issues and provide corrective measures - Ability to lead a team of report developers across multiple initiatives to provide timely delivery in an enterprise environment. - Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach resolution and maintain strong relationships - Partners with project management and analyst team members to successfully deliver against customer requirements |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | - Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Finance or Industrial or Mechanical Engineering - Minimum 7 years of related work experience in reporting & analytics solutions architecture - Experience with in-memory tools like Tableau, Spotfire and enterprise reporting with Business Objects or Oracle Business Intelligence |
